Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale is an American pro basketball player with the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. She was part of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the college level before being selected with the number 5 overall by the Wings in the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale's parents Yolanda Ogunbowale and Gregory Ogunbowale were born March 2nd 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Mario Ogunbowale (26 years) and Dare Ogunbowale (19 years) are her two older brothers. As the youngest of her siblings she was the one who was most spoilt of her parents. Gregory was a Nigerian Army officer for a length of period of time. Ogunbowale's family is with ties to the sports world. She has a mother Yolanda and brother Dare both played softball while attending DePaul. Her aunt played tennis at UAPB. And her cousin Endia is also a volleyball player at Tennessee State. Ogunbowale was as an Honor Roll member at her school for three years straight. In addition to her fame, she's received various awards from her education. Arike received her diploma from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School which is located in her home town. As a student at the school, she also participated in three years of varsity football. Ogunbowale led her team to several wins thanks to her exceptional skills. Her high school experience comprised 73 plays and 1,477 points in her career and 739 career rebounds. Ogunbowale was able to win gold in 2013 the FIBA Americas U16 Championships as well as 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships. The 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team was announced on 7th July 2014. Ogunbowale is also part of the ACC All-Freshman Team, after her first season in a college. She was even congratulated by the legendary Kobe Bryant after she hit numerous big shots during the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale, a relative newcomer to basketball, has already become a major star. She is certain to remain consistent with her basketball career. Arike Ogunbowale's net worth stands at about $5 million according to a source. Even though she's a basketball player, Ogunbowale excels at other sports as well. She is also a soccer player and has had three State Cup championships in the Lake County United Soccer Club as well as a State cup championship with FC Milwaukee Soccer Club.
